Advantages of Mainstay Calcium Aluminate Cement Mortars:

• Mainstay calcium aluminate cement mortars are designed to withstand corrosive environments with a pH of 1 or higher.

Applied Thickness:

10 to 20 mils (0.010" to 0.020") in one or two coats, depending on the application. Applications requiring thicknesses greater than 20 mils would typically be coated with either Mainstay^® DS-5-S 100% Solids Epoxy Coating (20-50 mils) or Mainstay DS-5 100% Solids Epoxy Coating (50-125 mils).

Coverage:

Approximately 75 square feet per gallon at 20 mils. Allowances should be made for waste.

Working Time:

Approximately 45 minutes at 70 degrees Fahrenheit

Depends on the porosity of the substrate. Coverage rates from 150 square feet per gallon on old, porous concrete to 250 square feet per gallon on new, dense concrete have been observed.
