Gooseneck Trailer Mounted Package

Example of equipment package mounted on a goose neck trailer platform |
Using a trailer as an equipment platform frees up the towing vehicle for other purposes when the equipment package is not in use. Most equipment packages are assembled on a trailer platform consisting of a heavy duty 8' wide x 18' long checker plate steel deck over trailer. Both goose neck and tag along trailer configurations are available. Goose neck trailers offer the advantage of tighter turning/backing radius, better load distribution between the trailer and the truck and less sway. Trailer modules supplied by Madewell are typically outfitted with the following features:
- Two 7,000 pound axles
- Electric brakes, both axles
- Load range G tires and steel wheels
- Heavy duty I beam construction
- Twin 10,000 lb. jacks
- Trailer GVW of 14,000 to 15,000 pounds plus+
- Tag along (pintle hitch) or goose neck available
- Manufactured in accordance with NATM standards
Tag Along Trailer Mounted Package

Example of an equipment package mounted on a tag-along trailer with a pintle hitch. These units are typically supplied with a work vise and water cooler on the trailer tongue. |
Tag along trailers do not take up space on the bed of the truck and the tongue area offers some usable space. This trailer package includes the following equipment:
- Atlas Copco 185 cfm diesel powered air compressor/power unit
- Hydraulically powered mortar mixer/pump
- 330 gallon water storage tank
- Steel pallet rack for a single pallet of mortar (with space for hose storage beneath)
- Hydraulically powered pressure washer
- Hydraulically powered 10kW generator
- Pneumatically powered mechanical proportioner coating spray unit
